Solarlux's History

In 1983 on an area of just 9 x 9 centimetres the idea was born of developing and producing folding window and door systems. The inventors were Heiz-Theo Ebbert (†1990) and Herbert Holtgreife.

Continuous innovation, high quality, excellent service and co-operation with national and international business partners have enabled us to become one of the most successful companies within the industry. Today Solarlux exports to 50 countries around the world and employs wordl wide 510 people.

1983 - Formation of the company
1988 - First foreign co-operation agreement with one of the largest Japanese manufacturers of aluminium windows and doors
1989 - Construction of the first production facility in Olpe / North Germany
1992 - Formation of our Swiss subsidiary
1995 - Construction of a new production facility at Bissendorf / North Germany
1997 - Co-operation with our US business partner NanaWall Systems
1998 - Formation of our British subsididary
1999 - Formation of our Austrian subsidiary
1999 - Formation of our Dutch subsidiary
2000 - Construction of new Solarlux Forum with 21,500 square feet of exhibition space
2002 - Formation of our Polish subsidiary
2003 - Opening of a sales office in Japan
2005 - Opening of our own production facility in San Francisco, USA
2005 - Opening of a distribution office in Sweden
2006 - Formation of Solarlux Middle East LLC in Dubai
2006 - New production facility for aluminium roofs and new raw materials warehouse in Osnabrück-Fledder / Northern Germany
2006 - Opening of a distribution office in Spain
