| Solarlux reaches the peak | October 2007 |
| To have exclusive architectural buildings all over the world fitted with Solarlux´s glass folding façades can hardly be regarded as special any more but to have such folding façades fitted at a height of almost 8 000 feet above sea level has been somewhat unusual, even for the market leader Solarlux from Bissendorf in Germany. Solarlux are the supplier of all the vertical glazing for the new “glacier garden” glass pavilion on Germany´s highest mountain, the Zugspitze. Thus Solar-lux´s folding façades have literally made it to the top. | |

| Folding glazed façades offer the ultimate flexibility | September 2007 |
| In just 25 years, Solarlux has turned an idea into a brand – and a global term for quality, innovation and solution-driven expertise. It all started with just one simple idea: windows and doors that use a fold-ing mechanism to open up the indoor space and create a completely open plan living/garden area. These patented systems offer excep-tional flexibility and enable a variety of opening configurations for exclusive apartments, pool glazings, sophisticated business premises and shop fronts. | |
| Safety behind Glass – Solarlux Folding Façades are “unimpressed” by Hurricane “Dean“ | September 2007 |
| This year´s hurricane season started with a hurricane of the highest category, category 5. Hurricane Dean, only the fourth cyclone of this size since the beginning of weather records in the USA, forced almost everything to its knees: Mexican oil platforms had to be evacuated, road signs and billboards were taken down, windows of houses and shops alike were boarded up. In Jamaica a state of emergency was declared and even NASA´s space shuttle mission, Endeavor, had to be abandoned prematurely due to Dean. Only the glass folding façades from the Bissendorf manufacturer Solarlux in a villa at the outskirts of Belmotan, the capital of Belize, remained unaffected by the fury and raging of the violent storm. | |

| Modern Balcony Glazing – More than just a Facade | March 2007 |
| Balconies are always an attractive feature of a building. They help your property to sell better, make it easier to let and offer designer living which is why they are in greater demand. But balconies are exposed constantly to the extremes of the elements, year after year, and this is the reason why they are on the renovation “to-do” list of almost all owners of such properties; property management com-panies, housing associations etc. | |

| Solarlux – A Success Story From humble beginnings in a garage to a worldwide enterprise |
January 2007 |
| It all started in 1983 in a small garage workshop with the idea that windows and doors could not only be turned, tilted and slid but also folded back and stacked away with the added benefit of saving space. The founders, of the company, Heinz-Theo Ebbert († 1990) and Herbert Holtgreife, developed the prototype of the first folding facade which was the basis on which the company has grown to the now internationally acting enterprise and worldwide market leader for folding glass facades and balcony glazing. The number of employees has increased from an initial figure of 13 to 460 worldwide. | |
