Solarlux: FSC and PEFC environmental certification

Terrace roofing, conservatories and folding glass systems using FSC and PEFC-certified timber have been part of the Solarlux portfolio for years. What had been missing up to now was a chain of custody certification encompassing the company’s entire production chain. Products with the FSC/PEFC pass through a number of stages on their way from the forest to the end consumer, stages associated with various different ownership structures. This chain of custody (COC) can vary considerably in length. What’s important is that all owners within the production chain are COC-certified.Supply chain certification helps reassure the consumer that timber products bearing the FSC seal really do originate from a certified, responsible and sustainably cultivated forest holding. In the case of both seals, Solarlux decided to aim for the highest category (PEFC 100% and FSC pure respectively).
